What it includes
Provides preferential access for Canadian agri-food, seafood and industrial goods

Both frameworks provide preferential tariff treatment on most goods
Provides for temporary entry of business persons
What it does NOT include
Some sensitive agricultural products remain subject to tariff-rate quotas
Canada's supply-managed sectors retain protection
The TCA and CPTPP have separate origin and certification rules; exporters must choose the applicable framework
Certain goods have longer tariff phase-out periods
Markets it covers (of our 18 target markets)
United Kingdom.
Practical note for exporters
Exporters to the UK can use either the TCA or CPTPP framework; verify which provides better tariff treatment for each product and ensure origin certification matches the chosen framework.
